Jack Wesley Soars at IMTA New York!

Jack Wesley is the kind of young man that loves being surrounded by those with a drive and passion to create things. He enjoys art in many media including drawing, sketch videos, paintings, film projects, and the old classic, telling jokes. This 19-year-old now has a new medium to create with on the national level: acting!

“The thing that inspired me to want to start acting was movies; seeing how the people on the screen were playing make believe. I feel that when I started to act it felt right and very fun for me, like I was able to show my true emotions in a safe place,” recalls Jack. He found a safe place to practice with Pro-Model and Talent Management acting coaches while preparing for IMTA.

IMTA, the International Models and Talent Association, hosts two big competition style conventions each year. One is held in Los Angeles, the other in New York. Jack attended the New York one where he was able to showcase his abilities in front of those capable of launching his national or international acting career.

Leading up to IMTA, Jack had his reservations. “Before I went, it felt like a scary intense time where I was going to be on stage with all lights and eyes on me and judging me. But when I actually got there, it was so fun! I had little to no nerve, it just happened and I was very prepared! My mother agency, Pro-Model and Talent Management, truly helped me at IMTA. I would have never been able to accomplish what I did without them. They gave me the skills that I needed in order to succeed.”

And succeed he did! Jack brought home five awards for his performances including Young Actor of the Year. But that’s not all! He also landed national representation with esteemed bi-coastal management company, Jago-Ciro Entertainment. JCE has great relationships in the industry with talent working in Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta!

Heading home, Jack had mixed feelings about leaving IMTA. “When the time came to leave IMTA, it felt like I had accomplished what I had come there to do,” he said. But he was also sad to be parting from his PMTM Family. “I made such good friends that I wanted to keep hanging out with them and I still do.”

Since IMTA, Jack has not stopped auditioning for national projects! We cannot wait to see what he lands first. When not auditioning he is working with his acting coach. He hopes to move to New York or Los Angeles soon, although he feels the Golden State is really calling his name!

“This whole experience has given my life more purpose and a clear sense of direction,” said Jack. There were a lot of lessons along the way, but the biggest one that Jack found? “You are what you make of yourself.”

So true! And you are making the absolute most of your opportunities, Jack! We could not be more proud of you!
